In early recovery, we are offered a glimpse of freedom. But as we continue walking this path together, something extraordinary happens: with each passing year, each honest discussion, and each step taken in faith, more is revealed.
The 2027 Men's Sober Retreat brings us together at the Otterbein Retreat House at Camp Asbury in Hiram, Ohio. Here in the peaceful winter stillness of the forest, we disconnect from everyday chaos, take off our masks, and listen to the quiet truth inside us and each other.

Your single $225 registration fee covers your room, all meals, programming, and an unforgettable weekend of recovery in the Ohio woods.
The Otterbein Retreat House
Comfortable, heated dormitory lodging with modern bathrooms, hot showers, and a large wood fireplace in the common area for warm fireside chats.
Saturday Night Steak Dinner Feast
Our signature annual dinner: hearty chef-grilled steak, hot baked potato with butter & sour cream fixings on the side, and a full salad bar.
Disc Golf & Winter Nature Trails
Camp Asbury disc golf course and serene snow-dusted woodland trails for morning walks, quiet reflection, and fresh winter air.
Evening Poker & Outdoor Bonfires
Friendly poker tournaments and card games in the lodge, plus possible evening bonfires outside under the stars (weather permitting).
Directed Retreat & Sober Fun
Speaker leads, 12-Step discussion workshops, group meditation, and uplifting fellowship (including squishy balls tossed for fun & connection!).
All Meals, Beverages & Snacks
Full weekend hospitality: hot country breakfasts, hearty lunches, continuous hot coffee, tea, and snacks available around the clock.
